Eligibility Criteria for Kerala PSC Electricity Worker Recruitment 2026

Age Limit

Candidates should be between:

• 19 to 36 years
• Only candidates born between 02 January 1990 and 01 January 2007 are eligible.
• Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC and other eligible categories as per Kerala PSC rules.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess:

• SSLC or equivalent qualification
• National Trade Certificate (NTC) in:
  
  • Electrician Trade OR
  • Wireman Trade

OR

• Kerala Government Certificate Examination in Engineering Trade (Electrical Group)

Trade Certificate Requirement

Applicants must have valid trade certification approved by:

• NCVT
• SCVT
• Government-approved technical institutions

Candidates should ensure all certificates are uploaded correctly during the Kerala PSC application process.

Physical Standards

Applicants should be physically fit for electrical field work.

Required Physical Fitness:

• Must be capable of climbing electric poles
• No physical disabilities affecting field duties
• Should be medically fit for outdoor electrical work

Vision Requirement

Candidates should have:

• Good eyesight
• No color blindness
• Ability to identify electrical wiring and signals clearly

Medical fitness certificate may be required during document verification.

Pole Climbing Practical Test Details

Candidates selected for the rank list must attend a practical pole climbing test.

The test may include:

• Electric pole climbing
• Safety handling
• Balance and field capability assessment

Failure in the practical test may lead to disqualification.
